Are you a newcomer to Canada? Are you interested in improving your language skills and understanding Canadian workplace culture?

Niagara College offers a variety of FREE language programs for newcomers. Our Occupation-Specific Language Training (OSLT) courses are designed for new Canadian immigrants who already have experience or training in business, health sciences, human services or technology. These practical and innovative English language courses will help you understand how to clearly and effectively interact with colleagues, clients, supervisors and stakeholders, and develop strong interviewing, networking, and career-building communication skills. The General Arts and Science – Enhanced Language Training for Employment (ELTE) certificate program supports new immigrants moving from college or university studies to the Canadian workplace. ELTE offers a full and part time delivery study option. These programs are fully funded and assist with transportation, books/materials and tuition.
