The Grimsby Historical Society presents Adam Shoalts, professional adventurer and Westaway Explorer-in-Residence at the Royal Canadian Georgraphical Society.

National bestselling author Adam Shoalts will join us to discuss his well-known expeditions in Canada's wilderness, including crossing nearly 4,000km of Canada's Arctic alone and more recently his canoe journey from Lake Erie to the Arctic.

Door prize tickets provided to all attendees. 

Practice and refine your skills with our Figure Drawing sessions. Drawing the human form live is an essential exercise for artists of all abilities, mediums, and styles. Get into the practice with quick studies, gestures, and extended poses, clothed and unclothed. Participants are self-directed and without an instructor in an open studio format. Participants are to provide their own drawing board, paper, and materials.

Materials List:

• HB Pencil - some brands to consider are Faber-Castel, Staedtler, Koh-I-Noor, General

  (can also bring different grades of H and B pencils, optional)

• Paper or Sketch Pad 11 x14 or larger, smooth surface - Canson is a good choice

• Tracing or Parchment Paper (one or 2 pieces)

• White Eraser (e.g. Staedtler)

• Ruler

• Blenders (these are white cotton sticks with points at each end, that come in different sizes)

• Masking Tape

• 2 pieces of cardboard or mat board larger than 11x14 

Optional Supplies:

-Proportional Divider (found on Amazon)

-Uni-ball Kuru Toga Mechanical Pencil .5mm

-Tombow Mono Zero Eraser or Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth Eraser Pencil

Squish, splat and smoosh along with your toddler as they discover the joy of art through play with Creative Bug! Wear your play clothes and come ready to join in the fun as we explore new art stations each week! ARTful Play sessions run for 6 classes.
