Join the Grimsby Historical  as we welcome local historian Alan Smith as he presents the History of the Crooks Family.  As an avid historian Alan has a vast knowledge of many families who make up the fabric of Grimsby.  Alan will share his expertise on numerous members of the Crooks family including their social and economic background, life as owners of a merchant shop and a grist mill and involvement in the War of 1812.

Ghost Painting: A Spooky GPAG Fundraiser Arts, Heritage and Culture

Join Grimsby Public Art Gallery for a night of internet-viral, spooky, painting fun!

Ghost Painting – autumn-ifying thrifted artwork and adding ghosts, witches, bats and jack-o-lanterns has gone viral all over the World Wide (spider)web! Grab your broomsticks and hop on the craze for a spooktacular ‘sip and paint’ fundraiser boo-nefitting GPAG programming October 26. We’ll provide the artwork and materials (although you’re welcome to thrift your own as well), and help guide the process to make a painting that’ll give people pumpkin to talk about.

 

Tickets include:

- 1 framed artwork (to spookify)

- Paints and materials

- Complimentary cocktail/mocktail

- A skeleTON of Halloween tunes

- 1 lost soul

- All the vibes

 

Costumes STRONGLY encouraged. There will be a prize awarded for the most eerie-sistible costume at the end of the night… we hope you have the guts to come!!
